* Thank you everyone for letting me take your photos!
** Stella, thank you for the electric smile!

On a sad note, camera is malfunctioning :( Focusing issues have became too apparent, and no longer ignorable. Will send it for servicing... Hopefully survive without it for a while...

"Plenty (though certainly not all) of people who are native to big cities such as New York are often too jaded to see the bizarre beauty inherent in the urban cityscape. Hailing from the war torn Bosnia and Herzegovina, and surviving that region’s tumultuous conflict, has given kolorit (a.k.a Milos Radoicic) a keen appreciation for his adopted surroundings of the Big Apple’s urban jungle. Much of his photography shows a knack for finding a vitality in the seemingly mundane aspects of street life, while placing accents on both the symmetry and texture inherent in the scenery. For a closer look at Kolorit’s talent for creating arresting images, check out his site."

"Milos Radoicic was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he survived the gruesome war, and in 2003 left for Vancouver Canada, to study. He is now living in New York, studies finance, but also indulges his other passion — photography. ‘My focus has always been on street corners, telegraph poles, torn and shredded bits and pieces people fail to see as beautiful’, he says, ‘on things leftover and forgotten that to me seem to be telling a story’."

"Just wanted to thank you for all the images your site made dance around my mind, they will guard my sleep tonight. I will return to brighten up the colors in them once I've worn them out. "

"Oooing and aaawwing at Milos' photos and thinks anyone who does not visit his blog every few weeks to catch up is not a whole person."

kolorit is featured in the latest issue of CMYK magazine - vol. 43, available for sale in our local Chapters, Barnes Nobles etc. Inside one can find 36 pages of fresh ideas never seen in print before - photography, print advertising, product packaging, logos, posters, illustration and photography. Nearly 120 award winning pieces from close to 100 aspiring creative professionals. I am quite proud to be amongst other featured members in this issue.

Photography Portfolio Critique by Judge Laurie Frankel

Since there is so much talent, creativity and imagination emerging from art schools, making 25 picks was tough. Light and composition is at the heart of photography, and I was very excited to see so much emphasis on those aspects. Digital methods give us the opportunity to enhance what we see and to add elements. But photographers - especially commercial photographers - must first take advantage of what is in front of the camera. In addition, so many pieces had emotional power - strength, angst, wit, warmth, and wonder. The maturity and sensitivity in these shots was impressive.
